 The Power of Thought

Our thoughts are our gratest power. We create them instantly. As nothing travels faster than thought, we can travel in space, time and dimension without limits. Our thoughts see things before they are created. They cause the problem and they solve the problem. Our source of thought is unlimited and we can direct it wherever we want or in the direction we choose. And with the choice, the things become more complicating.

  Indra’s Net

Indra’s Net, also called Indra’s Jewels or Indra’s Pearls, is a metaphor for Hindu cosmology presented in the Buddhist scripture translated as Flower Ornament Scripture. Indra's net has a multifaceted jewel at each vertex, and each jewel is reflected in all of the other jewels. Indra’s Net symbolizes the universe as a web of connections and interdependencoies. When any jewel in the net is touched, all other jewels are affected which explains  the hidden interconnectedness and interdependency of everything and everyone in the universe. Today we know about hologram that every point of the hologram contains information regarding all other points. All nodes are reflections, the mind is a mirror of reality. It is a beautiful symbolism of illusory nature of all appearances.

Inspired by this metaphor, Alan Watts gives an image from the nature:

“Imagine a multidimensional spider’s web in the early morning covered with dew ddrops in that reflectionrops. And every dew drop contains the reflection of all drops in that reflection other dew drops. And, in each reflected dew drop, the reflections of all the other dew drops in that reflection. And so ad infinitum. That is the Buddhist conception of the universe in an image“.

Vibrations

Indra’s Net and Spider’s Web vibrate when touche at any point. The same way everything and everybody vibrate too. We are but vibrations. Our actions the same way cause the chain of vibrations. Can you imagine a big pond surrounded with people making a chain in the shape of the pond? And they all have a little bucket full of little stones. At the same moment everyone from the chain of people throws the content of the bucket into the pond. Each one causes a certain cirle in the pond, and those circles will effect  each other and together they will effect the changes in the pond. And we people ar so naive to believe that we can do whatever we want without consequences. Funny thought. That is why it is so important to be aware of our thoughts, as our thoughts become our actions. Our actions become our destiny, and our individual destiny becomes our collective destiny.  We are vibrating individualy causing  our humanity web vibrations every moment of every day. And consequently, our actions, which are vibrations, create consequences. We,  humans , seem not to be quite aware of that. Those consequencies go to the future, the same way as we today live in the consequencies of some actions from the past. Everything is connected. Still, many pople ignore the meaning of this Web of Life.

  One Additional Thought

We should be aware of the power of our thoughts as our thoughts determine our choices. Our choices determine our actions. Our actions define not only our character, but our destiny too, personal and global.

With choice, things become complicated?
I hear people say this... variations of this statement, but that only makes sense, to me, if one doesn't know what one wants, no?

Having the message of the article in mind and interconnectedness, we are not always aware of consequences, especially not at the grand scale, how that what we choose to do, even when thinking to make an aware choice, influences many others, from closest to us and further on. This especially applies on so called control freaks who are not able ever to let go and force life and choices convinced always being right. Unfortuntelly, consequences do not come direct line , but they hit where we at most can get the lesson. The great movie that illustarates it is Jean de Florette is a 1986 French period drama film directed by Claude Berri, based on a novel by Marcel Pagnol. It is followed by Manon des Sources. Brilliant as a movie and as a life lesson. Good question.
