I can understand the necessity of validating actual users on some things, but we already know there are bots than do absolutely nothing but scroll captcha databases and AI program themselves to automate captchas so it's kind of stupid and redundant at this point.
I hate the ones that ask you to type in the awfully obscured words. Much prefer the click here for ones. Until they make you choose the images with Street sign over and over again lol
They are annoying... but I suppose necessary, especially where there are systems people are trying to bypass with automation. The ones I especially don't like are the ones that are "broken," where you have to click a "play" button which leads to a word flashing on the screen for about 1/10th of a second, followed by another 30 seconds of "Loading" and finally blackness... NOW what?
there is a much better way to do this that does not require the user to do anything.
In fact they don't even know they are being tested to determine if they are a bot!
How do i know. I built it and deployed it and it works!
And........ it's actually really simple.
One day I'll do a tutorial on Steemit so others can use it too. But first I need to pay the rent....
