What The Hell Is An Apache Helicopter Gunship Doing At A Civilian Airport in Krakow, Poland?
This image was taken with a zoom lens. Am I a Russian spy? Hell no! (I could have been though!)
Look at the machine gun cannon on it! it must have been going on a Russian patrol exercise or something? Who knows? Very scary next to your Easyjet flight home!
Must go, there's someone at the door...probably the Secret Police...back soon!
Just for the record it's not an Apache.
Probably eurocopter tiger.
EXCELLENT CLARIFICATION! Thanks!
(I can't change the title - it's playing silly buggers! GRRRRRR!)
Probably these guys:

I knew they were in country - I saw their HUGE transporter planes - for all the troops!
WOW! Amazing spot @mindhunter !
The length of that machine gun at the front is very scary! I'd hate to see it in full wrath mode!!
Just for records, i confirm that it's a Tiger from Airbus Helicopters. And this one is French for sure. If you had a better quality picture i could tell you where it comes from but on this picture i didn't see the ID.
Thanks Damien - nice one. I knew there were clever people on here ;) Apologies it was taken at a looong distance with a zoom VERY QUICKLY!!
no worries ! It is just because i know very well airbus helicopters ;) Maybe i will write som articles about helicopters on steemit, i'll see as soon as i have more time ;0
cheers
I look forward to your article. Fly on friend. Over and out. Ready for take off...
Military aircraft often stop by civilian airports for fuel - either for the birds or pilots themselves. Even the air crew gotta refuel! True, they will usually choose a base because there's less attention and easier admin / paperwork. But sometimes it's a trade-off of conveniences.
Cool insider info @johnchang - respect and many thanks for that!
