So close to the brink we were only in 1953, in the midst of the cold war and after test of a hydrogen bomb, the United States and the Soviet Union. And here we are again on the brink of nuclear war.

The doomsday clock, reflecting the view of the staff of the journal "Bulletin of the atomic scientists" about the inevitability of nuclear war show two minutes to midnight. The arrow was moved ahead 30 seconds, the message reads "Newsletter".

The Bulletin was founded in 1945 by scientists, engineers and other specialists who worked on the creation of a nuclear bomb in the United States. Realizing the destructive power they have developed the device, they devoted themselves to alert the public from the use of nuclear weapons, according to the organization's website. The doomsday clock first appeared on the cover of the magazine in 1947, to highlight the threat posed by nuclear weapons. Then they showed seven minutes to midnight. Two minutes to midnight watch, it was in 1953, after the testing of the hydrogen bomb, first in the USA and then the Soviet Union.

In January 2016 the clock hands haven't moved at all, in January 2015 they were transferred from five minutes to three minutes to midnight.

The rhetoric of the representatives of the DPRK and the United States and the provocative actions of the two countries raised the possibility that nuclear war may begin accidentally or by mistake. President Donald Trump are advised to refrain from provocative statements against Pyongyang and understand that the reaction of North Korea is unpredictable.

Риторика представителей КНДР и США и провокационные действия двух стран повысили вероятность того, что ядерная война может начаться случайно или по ошибке. Президенту Дональду Трампу советуют воздержаться от провокационных заявлений в адрес Пхеньяна и понять, что реакция Северной Кореи непрогнозируема.
