Attention gamers

Paying attention!🤓 When I play poker I often times catch myself sitting on the phone texting and browsing the internet.

When I do this I loose a significant amount of my edge. When we pay attention to our opponents even if we are not in the hand we can pick up on tells that may save us a lot of money in a later hand.
Some tells are obvious and shared among many poker players but others are more specific.

I feel this is especially true when it comes to betting patterns. A lot of players don't balance their bet-sizing, but rather make them very hand depended.
This starts preflop. Let's say a player always makes it 4x plus 1 bb per limpet but all of a sudden ads another 3-4 bb. This is often times a strong indicator for a very strong pre-flop holding. Such tendency can also translate into post-flop play.

We will see people betting overly strong with made hands on drawy boards, worried of getting sucked out. This read becomes especially valuable if we see the same player bet "smallish" with draws in order to draw "cheaply". What are your favorite reads? Which has been the most reliable in your opinion? Looking forward to your thoughts. image
