Simplicity itself, yet so effective!

Here's a quick one just before we dash out to a BBQ this afternoon.

I purchased a Hunkydory Moonstone Die Set a while ago. I’ve made a few cards with the kit and I’ve always been pleased with the die-cuts.

Today, I decided to play with a few more elements from Hunkydory.

This is the card I made.

I used these gorgeous marble-effect cards from – you guessed it! – Hunkydory.

I used a card blank and a few pieces of black card.

Look at all these colours and patterns!

I matted and layered black and marble-effect and I used a card from the Twilight Kingdom collection.

I shaved a couple of millimetres from each edge (including the top and bottom) and stuck everything to the matted and layered card.

I also stuck the shaved slivers of the topper on the outside edges because I’d never tried that before and I wondered what would happen.

I wasn’t sure how it would look when I’d finished, but I’m pleased with it.

A silhouette of one of the Hunkydory Moonstone fairies (opposite way round for a change), a cut-out dove, with a drop-shadow effect and “Job’s a good’un” as they say round here.

Oh and then Mia wanted to get in on the act… a ‘Fairy hat’ I made…
