Trail Running or Road Running - Love both, but one more than the other.

Some scenic trail run pics going through the Queen Elizabeth nature reserve. Every trail run I embark on has its own glory and beauty and surprises. This is why I prefer trail running to road running, because you just never know what is around the next bend.

Road running i find my mind wonders and becomes board because for the most part of road running you have a flat road, that you can see for kilometres ahead and just is so monotonous and eventually drives me up the pole, because you can see what is ahead, wheres with trail you cannot see he road or rather the trail ahead. It is full of surprises and twists and turns that makes the run all the more exciting.

Don't get me wrong, there is absolutely nothing wrong with road running, it is all just a personal choice, it has its own challenges and I almost tend to think it may be harder on your mind, simply because it is flat long boring and you probably need to pay less attention and therefore gives you more time with yourself, and in turn your thoughts.
