Me with my Dad's old Voigtländer Camera

The Voigtländer roots was founded in Vienna, Archduchy of Austria in 1756, by Johann Christoph Voigtländer (de). Voigtländer produced mathematical instruments, precision mechanical products, optical instruments, including optical measuring instruments and opera glasses, and is the oldest name in cameras. Most of the time we have to remind ourselves to enjoy being somewhere or doing something, without having the need to document every second of it. We document everything on our cameras and phones and all social media uploads could leave us with all the photos and video and none of the experience.

I try to maintain a good balance between documenting my experiences and living the experience.

Reminds me of a joke I heard a while back:
Guy gets back from his holiday abroad, and his friends and family asked him how the holiday was, and he replied: "I don't know, I haven't looked at my photo's yet." lol :-)

We all want some photos and video to look back on and to show friends and family, and also just to keep for posterity. Many years from now, unlike in centuries gone by, future generations would pretty much be able to look up their entire family tree and each of their family members history, by simply logging onto social platforms.

So I guess genealogy is being made easy and truly accessible to anyone who is interested in what their great grand parents were up to in their heyday. I think this could turn out to be a good thing or a bad thing depending on just how much information you share, lol

So I would suggest excising some degree of caution when you share your life, and bare in mind your great grand kids could be viewing what you post today. That would probably be a good measure as to whether or not it is appropriate for sharing.

Stay Blessed, and present in all your adventures. :-)
Happy steeming, @steemians.

There was a time in my travels that i stopped taking pictures, i think i was happier without a camera...though now, i am more aware of my surroundings. So yes balance is the key. I take out my camera when i need to.

True, these days we do feel obliged to document, which I guess is great and we should do so, but it is difficult to maintain a balance of experience and documenting :-) haha.
Thank you for your comment

I think that in wanting to try oneself in blogging, documenting plays a part.
Be well.

I agree. :-)

There is a price though☺

Unfortunately there is, but I guess it is all forgotten when you splash out on an amazingly vivid photo reminder which is captured forever, and a unique view through a well thought out post production video :-)

Just viewed that post, looked like and amazing, well balanced night some great capturing :-) and fun

so agreed. you can do both.

Yeah that's true..will try harder to produce one then😂😁
