The author is right - we don't just want to survive, we want to thrive. In order to thrive, we must plan proactively. Without foresights and action-oriented plans, nothing is going to happen.
There are so many traps though. If you're not smart or vicious what do you do?
Work towards becoming smart and vicious if required.
You pretend like you're smart and pretend like your vicious. Eventually you will look smart and look vicious and then you might even fool the best of the best! This is the case where you fake it till you make it!
