My life for the next couple days...
People usually blog about current events, or things going on in their lives at the moment. These photos represent my life...at least for the next couple days. After this tile removal, expect to see more demolition ; )
I wanted to keep the old parquet floors, but my wife thinks otherwise. What do you think?
The tile came up easy in the entry and part of the hall, but in the kitchen it was put down with a thinker layer of thinset. This is going to take some heavy duty smashing.

Oh man that is some hard work to give you a renewed respect for the tradespeople! The lazy in me resents time spent destroying something but you have to break a few eggs to make an omelette.
Once you get through it and take some time to see the finished result, you will love it and take a few moments to tell your wife she was right ;)

Keep the parquet! Consider sanding em and finishing them with a water based finish so they lose the yellow/orange look. Good luck :D
