My eyes bulged and my stomach clenched in terror as if the lady next door had come knocking to ask for help with her fog-lantern again.

I wrestled myself up from my slouching position in the armchair to a more reasonably upright pose where I might be able to defend myself better.

Was this it? Was I facing the end of my Steemit career? Was I to be crushed under the juggernaut of the Steemcleaners!? And for what, was it because I loved too much??
Well sod that. I wasn't going out without a fight.
I considered my options.
I could power down my whole nearly 40K steempower and go all in on EOS? Maybe buy some RAM or whatever nonsense passed for participation in that community?
Or I could go rogue, Darth Vader style, flagging random people endlessly on a joyless spree of negativity. If I was challenged I could point to Steemcleaners as being my Obi-Wan in the lava pit?
But who would be my Palpatine?
Hmm.
Or I could just sell out and fire my hard earned SP into a random bidbot and cackle madly whilst counting my daily Crypto doubloons?
Yes, that would work. Alright then, that's exactly what I would...

The good lady interrupted my train of thought.
I narrowed my eyes and sniggered.

I said, clenching my fist down into a victory pump as if I had just stolen a seal's egg.
Eh? Unleash what? I have a coupon for 25% off steam cleaners on Amazon. I was thinking we could do with one. Should I get it?
I turned my head to the side like a starling eyeing up a worm.

The good lady went off to buy stuff with my money and I settled back down into my armchair with a happy sigh.
Looks like I will live to fight another day.
