Fat 'n Spicy Beers!
What a week!! Not only was I kidnapped and subjected to the most heinous of sunny times and beers up in the bitter North of Scotland but I also had a night off the sauce?!?! A strange event almost unheard of in these hard times of parenthood.
We are back on the review rampage this week and what a couple of porky breasts we have to fondle!
Yes, I am talking about the beers! Chilli and spicy magical beers!
I can hardly wait. It's like two of my favourite things all smooshed together in a glass.
At least I can hope.

Merchant City Brewing have come up with some top beers in the past. I am interested to see what they have for us this time. One thing is for sure, you cannot go wrong with a bit of Oak Barrel ageing! Add to that some cocoa and chillies and I am sold!
It is quite weak though for a barrel aged. Hmm.
It certainly looks stout'y. Black as a Spanish pig's feet. Little or no head to talk of.
For some reason it doesn't look very... Well, anything.
Let's settle for nondescript. Perhaps the taste will prove me wrong?
What in the name of...? It looks like a stout and it quacks like a stout but this my friends is not a fucking stout! It's rubbish. It has no body. It's like a ghost beer. You can see it but not taste it.
What a disappointment and don't get me started on the lack of chilli spice! Chucked, that's what it gets! 1/10 booms!

This has it all!! Look at it! It's 11% ABV for starters. That is the kind of strength that can start wars! Ginger, Cinnamon and of course chillies. I can hardly wait.
I do have the slight fear though as I am sure I reviewed a Wander Beyond beer before and it wasn't the best but for the life of me, I can't quite place what one.
Anyway, get into it!
Look at that, it's like the opposite of milk. Black and oozy like a lepers toenails. The head is a tan and slow bubbling frothy thing. It looks the part but can it steal my heart?
Hot diddly doo dah! This thing is strong. The ginger comes rampaging in first followed by the malt then a toffee-like smokiness. A burn starts to build in the throat from the chillies straight after.
It is quite literally like a massive rottweiler has run up to you and is attempting to hump your leg and you are afraid to say no.
A bunker busting 9/10 booms!!

After I did it I immediately thought that it would be nice to keep an eye on that bit of grass to see if it sickens or blooms!!!
Oh yes! Monitor it closely, you don't want to miss a thing. Keep me informed of all the statistics. If it sickens then you know they are trying to poison you. They're everywhere you know...

Seems that first one deserved to fly like a lame duck. Somehow you could predict it, oak barrel and only just above 5%!? That's rubbish!
Second one did keep up to the promise. Ough! Spicy little kicker that one, nice.
Ginger up the arse? Might have kept his tail up. Once got ginger powder up the nose, was to keen sniffing it. (Don't try this at home...)
Squeezing a black panther its scrotum...!? Would not advice to do that either, hahaha.

if you are up for the day, you are in a bad way, not even eggnogs will help, although "the hair of the dog" has been reported to work well, after all you cant get a hangover if you never sober up, so I have been told.

@meesterboom hello dear friend, I could not wait to know how the tasting came out. hooo noo, bad first, luckily the Catrina except 9/10 that sounds great, 11% is strong. Tomorrow I think it will be a hangover Sunday.
