Before they expired (there was a 5 year period before requiring renewal), I held certifications in Social Studies grades 8 - 12, General Studies grades 4 - 8, and Math and Science grades 4 - 8.
I thought it would help, but no dice.
I would have thought the math would have gotten you a job. I teach 5th, so I know about the renewal aspect.
