Bamboo Products as a replacement for Plastic Products in our lives

A few days backs all news channel were showing all the same news, “India will abolish all single-use plastic by 2022” which would help in combating plastic pollution and help to curb its disrupting and harmful effects on the environment. Plastic is a commodity that is easily and cheaply available to the public and used for many purposes. Where in one hand, banning plastic will solve this Global crisis, but on the other hand, this will cause inconvenience to the mass public. No news channel discussed or showed an alternative to plastic that could be used and provide some comfort to the public.

Plastic-free adjustment begins with finding a replacement of plastic products from our lives. So, what are the alternatives to plastic ?let’s mention few of them :

According to my opinion, bamboo is the best replacements for plastic. Bamboo is an evergreen perennial flowering plant and can be an eco-friendly alternative to many of the plastic products we use in our daily lives. Also, bamboo grows a new shoot from the same root system, and thus saves time and efforts in re-plantation. After harvesting, virtually every part of the plant is used to make a wide variety of products. From soil-enriching mulch to beautiful furniture to chopsticks, every part of the plant can be utilized, so a very little waste is generated. Also, bamboo requires no agricultural chemicals to thrive and provides a faster growth rate.
