Celebrating Our Town Fiesta

Every year, our town celebrates fiesta during the month of February to March. It's a yearly tradition and there are lots of activities during this time. And you can see a lot of tourists around to see what the town has. And every night, there are programs and activities held at our town plaza with the cooperation of schools and different government agencies and Local Government Units. During this time the road is very traffic because there are stalls or what we call "tiangge" lined up at the side of the road.

This is the "tiangge" where people buy the cheapest items. Some sell plates or any household items. There are others that also sell apparrels, shoes, bags and all other kinds at a very low cost. It's nice to buy during these times because they are way too cheaper than the ones you buy in malls and you have a lot to choose from.

In the town plaza you can also see some decorated stalls. This is the Agri-Tourism festival.These stalls are represented by every neighboring town where they sell different kinds of items. Every stall showcases the pride of what their town has to offer. It may be food, items for household use or even plants and agriculutural products that represents their town. I actually like it here because sometimes when you need something to buy and is not available where I live, this is the chance to buy from these stalls because you don't need to go far, They already have it. You just have to look from these stalls.

In the evening the town plaza is very lively because there are scheduled events that happen and one of the highlights was the Parade of Lights which I witnessed last night. The streets are closed and there's a street parade in the evening where you can witness different kinds of presentations of different grades from this school. It is done every two years and it is really fun to watch the parade.

And after watching the Parade of Lights, we went to the night market to buy food. There are really a lot of people during this time. And you can choose from different kinds of street foods.

It is a month of fun filled events and I really enjoyed celebrating our town fiesta. I also enjoyed watching the parade last night. I am grateful for events like this because I can stroll at night and watch, eat some good food and be with friends to enjoy the evening!!!
