Practice camping on the Similkamean river

in #life6 years ago

Today we went to the river and practiced putting up the tent and getting stuff prepared. Just preparing for camping, not prepping for the “end”. Lol 7B2EBE6F-BF9F-43D7-9784-0BE55019C149.jpeg
Although this beautiful place wouldn’t make a bad permanent camp site. There was a couple fire pits already assembled, but I won’t burn where’s there trash burned already. So I made a small one with a deep hole, to keep ambers from blowing away. It was extremely windy. 41A7688B-AC3F-46A9-8701-AF0908D6D020.jpeg here’s one of the ol lady hiding in the tent 07AAC64B-7217-4B5C-9F92-EE68DC86F7C3.jpeg one of the camp site before the tent went up 9E73232F-7FBC-4485-A259-2F4A18C542B0.jpeg It was a great trial run for camping. We know how to set up the tent in windy, cold conditions. We got a fire going safely, and put it out. Then while the family was in tent eating lunch, I started a personal fire. I had some bushes and oil to burn. C066A9A2-A18A-4048-B23F-1087C135DD2D.jpeg hehehe it was a tasty treat too! So if you’re in the Okanogan valley or around central Washington state, come check out the Similkamean river. You can see it in Canada too, but you can get cannabis at a store legally in the US.

They’re watching you, but so am I C964DE6E-614B-45B5-9541-F7677A0BCBFB.jpeg
