Would You Like to Resonate?

Not in a "wink" "wink" sort of way. Earlier this week I wrote an article about E=MC^2 and may have left you with a strange new understanding of matter.

In a way I regret putting such a strange concept out there, it seems I dropped you into boiling water. When I should have put you in lukewarm water and slowly turned up the heat, so to speak. So allow this fun experiment to be my apology.

Would you like to resonate? In 1992 Bruce Tanio determined that the average frequency for our bodies is between 62 and 68 Hertz (Hz). I found a website (free / no downloads) that will allow you to generate a SIN wave at multiple frequencies, but for this experiment at the frequencies between 62 and 68 Hz.

Be warned, you should turn your volume way down first, because at these lower frequencies the bass can make quite a racket and could harm your speakers. Also high frequencies, let's just say turn the volume way down and gradually turn it up. Little trial and error. Now that you understand the risk to your speakers and are prepared to start this with the volume low. Here's the link.

Now tune the dial to 62 Hz, stand up, do you notice your body vibrating yet?
No? Well go up a Hertz, continue until you find your frequency. Once you've found it you will know.

If you further move the frequencies around you might notice other bits of matter are listening and reacting too.

I'll close with this, Nikola Tesla built multiple resonating devices, but one evening he decided to see if he could shake the building he resided within. The vibrations generated from his relatively simple device, caused the entire building to shiver and shake. Suffice it to say, that night ended with a group of police, a sledgehammer and a broken device.
