THE FEMALE STRUGGLE
...so she woke up today with new strength and new determination in her heart, "today would be a better day" she said, "today I win" and in that spirit she got ready to face life head on once more. She was fierce, she was strong and she was going to stay undefeated, failure wasn't a part of the plan.
She walked out the door in her maroon suit ironed to perfection, her head high matching her shoes and that smile on her face her best asset yet.
She was an independent woman and she was proud to be female in this man's world. Everyone told her otherwise, "you are the weaker sex" they said, "women are for the kitchen and the bedroom" they said "career women are the worst, they feel like they're men" they said, but that wouldn't stop her, she was going to be the best she could be, she was going to work her way up despite her gender and she was going to win.
Most people did not want to work with her, most men saw her as a threat, as competition, her presence alone challenged them, "How can a woman be so tough?" They wondered.
Little did they know that under all of that confidence and strong will there was a soft, sweet woman who also wanted to be taken care of and pampered, she had her own demons she fought day and night. Battles oblivious to everyone but her but in the world we live in people would mistake soft for weakmess hence the reason for the walls she built up around herself.
Underestimated, turned down, over looked, Just like that the days go by, but everyone that passes by brings her closer to achieving her goals so she stays focused.
She goes to bed at night beat and tired but she's fierce, she's strong so she's going to stay undefeated, failure is not in the plan.
Being a woman could be so tough

Great write-up @matillajojo though you sound like a feminist, I 100%agree with you, the conception that women are weaker vessels, or are for the kitchen etc is very ancient and in no way civilized. Steemon!
