Cycling in the Dutch countryside

My parents sold their car so I decided to visit my grandmother on my bicycle. Everything around my hometown is pretty flat so it is an easy cycling route.

This area was sea a couple hundred of years ago. But the Dutch don't like the sea so converted it to land. The soil is actually surprisingly fertile. You can immediately notice this by its color. It is not just brown it is an extremely dark brown like the color of poo after you had dinner at an all you can eat buffet. That's how you know it is good soil. Most of the family members of my grandmother's generation used to use their poo bucket to fertilize their vegetables. Some of my family members still say that homemade shitty vegetables are the best.
