Resteeming issues?
So does resteeming a post cause your subsequent submissions to earn significantly less? I read some great and fun articles and resteemed them only to find new posts are earning nothing with 5-6 upvotes. When I joined 6 upvotes wasn't great but gave me 25-30 cents. More than nothing!!

With growing users, the less we earn. The only way to increase our earnings again, is when steem rises again, and currently it rose from about $1 to about $2.5 in a couple of days. So we should expect more payout soon.
