Why do people keep predicting the future to be horrible

Hello, have you every searched on YouTube: "how will the future be like?" It's always negative things that they have to say...... If it is not the world will destroy it self, it will be what series of heavy grammar. What do you think the future will be like? Like Riddick? Where hot winds turns Humans to skeletons. Or like Mad Max, where there is mainly dessert. Will the world really destroy it self. Or will over population last over since everyone wants to reproduce. I am not saying reproduction is bad but when anything is done in excess.... It becomes bad. That's fact.
Okay now, look at this......a man and woman are managing to feed themselves, yet they will born up to 8 kids...... And those kids will be suffering. You get my point....... Will deforestation lead to a Man Max world?
Or, will this vibe surrounding AI lead to a Terminator world... That will be horrible. What do you think, please comment below.
