How should we handle money?

Some people equate how much they have with their own personal worth. But there's a saying that in the Philippines, people get wet and dry very quickly. In other words, people can make a lot of money very fast, then just as quickly lost it. It happens to me and I've seen that happen to a number of people around me.

Instead of using money to put a value to our worth, we should view money differently. Cashiers know that the company funds entrusted to them are not theirs. So they'll be very careful to use it the way the boss wants. In the same way, we should see ourselves as a cashiers life, we must think that the money we have is not ours. They only allow us to have and be wise in handling resources, feel that we have a boss who entrusted funds to us.

               This sets a lot of focus

First, we've must be very tipid and very kuripot. Spend less than we earned. There's a saying, " Every grain of rice is one drop of sweat from the farmer ". Don't be wasteful. In Canaan Farmers School in Korea, they train the people to be very frugal (to be very tipid). For every single grain of rice left on the plate, one has to do one push-up.

Second, we should handle money with wisdom. One Chinese proverb says, " If you don't have to spend even a centavo, don't spend it. But if a hundred pesos has to be spent, spend it ". Its a value judgement. I have a missionary friend before I was having lunch with refused to order drinks. He said, I am a missionary. I compute how much it costs you if I order a glass of juice or soft drinks. It costs at least five to ten times more than what I can buy it for in the supermarket. He says its missionary thinking, but its my thinking too (Lol).
