How to get UPVOTES and followers on steemit ?

So I was thinking and this came to mind and I hope you would like it ;
First of all, either you want to just make comments or post always keep your reputation perfect.
If you have any bad comments just keep them to yourself and be positive about other people opinions
Use the criteria of following people, and simply ask them to follow you.
hashtags plays a big roll.
Never underestimate yourself.
