How do you think of such female?

Why is female so deprived of her rights and everything in our society?

Today earlier, I heard an aunty sharing her distress of being a mother of six daughters and have no son. Her words clearly depict how unlucky she feels as if her world has doomed. The consoling aunty promptly answer back with comment "behan beta nahi hey tou kia huva.... agar hota bhi tou shadi kay baad larki ney saath ley jaana thaa".
(sister, if you dont have a son so what? He would've been snatched by his wife from you)
Now,
Being a woman it makes me think time and again
why we are so insecure as female?
Why our mothers raised us with fear and self-pity?
Are we so scared to be alone in old age that we yearn for son as security??
