The National Cancer Association of South Africa
Scientist has found evidence of cancer in the ancient Egyptian mummies.
As early as 300BC Hippocrates described treatment for cancer.
September 1931 marks the date that the National Cancer Association was established in South Africa by a group of medical doctors.
It was established as a voluntary, non-subsidized organisation that finances cancer research, educational programmes and social services.
1981, When the first day cover was released, it celebrated the golden jubilee of the National Cancer Association. The aims of the Association is to save lives and pursue the study and reseach of cancer.
