Sad, although at first glance and funny

Being a curious person and trying to learn something new, I could not miss the chance to go to the waiter-bartender courses. Moreover, the training was completely free, and the subject matter was interesting to me.

I had to live in a rented apartment, and at one point I had a new roommate. I came to the session. I am the second (and, hopefully, the last) time in my life I've seen a real stereotypical blonde. Though her hair was of a different color.

All these few weeks of our cohabitation, the lady did not cease to amaze me-she committed acts of incredible stupidity, let off cues of fantastic naivety and asked questions that even students know the answers.

It is amazing that the lady graduated from university and in a couple of months she was to become a happy owner of the diploma and go to teach the children mind-reason. At least she talked about this, although she worked elsewhere. The lady was five minutes without a diploma historian.

In fact, I have seen enough of historians (and not only) with higher and almost higher education and lower intellect, but this lady beat all records. She did all the absurdities with an important and intelligent look, which made me very amused.

The culmination came at the end of our cohabitation. Apparently the neighbor decided to finally finish me off, because between the attacks of eloquence about her higher education and a few admirers, she was stunned by the question: "Is the Netherlands in France?"

The irony is that a historian with a higher (well, almost) education asks this for some waiter-half-educated (at that time I was exactly him). And very offended when this waiter from the shock did not keep his tongue and characterized her mental abilities out loud and not very flattering. What kind of history can be studied or taught, if you do not distinguish the state of Europe from the French village? And the fact that this state, even a schoolchild with an average achiever knows. And in fact they teach.

Since then, the phrase "I have a higher education" as proof of my mental superiority only gives me an ironic grin.
