Warning! A message or error on the PS4 can block your console

The assembly company of the videogame console PlayStation4, Sony, informed its users that there is currently a "bug" that when received in game, blocks the computer, so they must restart.

They explained that after multiple complaints during the past weekend between players of Destiny 2 and Rainbow Six: Siege, that when opening it PS4 was frozen.

In an apology and explanatory statement, they shared the following message:

"We are aware of the situation and we are planning an update of the system software to solve this problem," Sony said in an official statement.

The company advises "disable receiving messages from strangers and try to delete messages from the mobile application with the PS4 off".

The first thing to keep in mind is that you do not have to open the message. In the specialized forums suggest deleting it from the application of PlayStation messages for Android and iOS. Also, they assure that deleting the message from the app before turning on the console will avoid problems.

In case the message is received, it is necessary to keep calm. Although one option is to restart the console as a factory, in The Verge they say that it is enough to start the console in Safe Mode and from there rebuild the database.

How to avoid the message?
Sony recommends adjusting privacy so that only emails from trusted friends can be received.

To do this, go to Settings / Account Management / Privacy Settings / Personal Information and Messaging and select the appropriate privacy option.
