“Death” a single word, from which each and everyone is afraid of. But, have you ever given a thought and asked yourself, why are you afraid of death? Here I would like to mention a great quote by Mark Twain, “The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”

So, basically if you don’t take your life for granted and live each day fully, you wouldn’t be afraid of death. As they say, “Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside us while we live.”

Live Forever?

You might think I have gone mad or something. But, just answer me. Do you really want to live forever? Think twice. Hmm.. many people here would say, yes obvious we want to live forever. But, have you ever thought about the consequence.

How would you feel when you grow really old? Imagine like 200 or even more than that. When your body won’t support, your organs won’t support and function for sure. Or ask any old person or someone suffering from diseases or paralysed people, how they feel?

They are just waiting for death to come, death is a blessing. I remember a saying by Socrates, “Death may be the greatest of all human blessing.” I guess death is better than to live on doctor’s prescription, medicines and in hospitals forever.

It is death that gives you relief from all the pain and sorrow you had while living. Death teaches us a great lesson that each and every soul will face death and be buried in this same world. So, why so much difference in rich and poor, higher class or lower class? Why there is so much ego or attitude of money or beauty or anything. One day we all are going to die, no matter how rich or how beautiful or what we have achieved in life. “Nothing Matters” in infront of death.

As sadhguru say, “If you work five or ten years for your security, that’s okay. But if you are going to work all your life for your security, you are seeking death because death is the only secure thing in the existence. Life is never secure.”

Here, I don’t mean to say that life is not worthwhile and one should die or kill himself or herself. I mean death is a part of life, not opposite of life. So, live your life and make every day count, live life accepting the fact that we all will die one day.

Don't fear from death, fear from not living a life when you have only one life. Live and do help needy ones, so even they can live. This way your life in this earth will count and be worthwhile, because what’s the use of living and earning for yourself and then dying without giving anything in return to this world?
