This post is about the Florida Zombie Drug Flakka and everything you need to know about it. Lets start with the question what is flakka??
Called by names such as "$5 insanity" and "the world’s scariest drug," (alpha-Pyrrolidinopentiophenone), better known by its street-name flakka, is the latest narcotic to be misrepresented as capable of turning men into monsters and with the ability to turn its users into superhumanly strong ‘zombies’ supposedly impervious to pain and totally out of control. Scary enough ?? there is more !
In 2012, flakka nicknamed “bath salts” caused shock waves around the world after footage emerged of a Miami man apparently high on flakka , ripping off his clothes and eating the face of another man. Okay, so this behaviour sounds familiar . Does it ring a bell ?
I know what what you are thinking . Thats what "zombies" do.But how true is this speculation about this drug flakka ? lets find out.
Flakka, which comes in crystalline rock form, can be swallowed, snorted, injected and vaped. The duration of the effects of the drug can last as few as 4-5 hours, but can also linger for several days. The drug is highly addictive. What happens when you take this drug intentionally or " by mistake" ?
The effects produced are Similar to cocaine and amphetamines, short-term effects include:
.Euphoric sensations.
.Rapid heart rate and palpitations.
.Increase in blood pressure.
.Alertness.
.Aggressive behavior.
Whereas, the long term effects of Flakka can rival some of the strongest crystal meth and cocaine. The physiologic effects of Flakka trigger severe anxiety, paranoia, and delusions, leading to a psychotic state, characterized by a surge of violence associated increased strength and loss of awareness of reality and surroundings.
Independent.co.uk reported - The TPCN explains that the active chemical can cause "excited delirium", which results in hyperstimulation, paranoia, and hallucinations that can lead to "violent aggression". Given the availability and widespread distribution of the drug, however, if it turned users into cannibals, there would be more reports of such instances publicly available.

Although its dangers may have been exaggerated, taking the drug is risky - it is addictive and can cause fatal overdoses.Despite growing efforts to ban this substance by drug enforcement agencies, flakka has infiltrated the youth population.The better option is to stay away from it and help others in need by spreading awareness about it .
