A new "Meet Up" in Caracas: An opportunity to learn about Cryptocurrencies and strengthen ties of friendship!

in #life7 years ago

Greetings my dear friends Stemians, today I want to share with you through this Post the wonderful experience we experienced yesterday, when several of the users of this platform had the opportunity to meet around a "Meet Up" organized by @gabox and @breili and that it had by name: Introduction to the "Cryptocurrencies".

The purpose of this meeting was, in the first place, to provide more information about the Crypto Currencies and the Block Chain, as well as to clarify frequent doubts about this exciting world of digital money. Secondly, and not least, this meeting sought to serve as an "excuse" for everyone to "see each other's faces", to get to know each other and share our experiences within Steemit.

Note that this extraordinary initiative was sponsored and supported by one of the most important teams within this dear platform, I refer to our friends of @cervantes who are always ready to offer their support to all the ideas that serve as a medium for the expansion from the Spanish-speaking community of "Stemians", always seeking as a goal, the generation of quality content in each of its publications.

It started super punctual! At 1:30 pm (Caracas time) began the presentation where @gabox would talk about the background of digital money, the growth of the Internet and social networks. I would make a magisterial retrospective on the origins of Bitcoin, the "Mother" of all the Crypto coins, how it was positioned in the global digital market and how it went from being an idea for which many did not give "Not a penny", to be a currency that has exceeded the border of 20,000.00 Dollars per unit.

He also explained the Block Chain process; how the confidence of the people is the guarantee and what gives the support to each cryptocurrency, fixing the price of each of these in the market; of how the transactions are carried out directly from user to user "democratizing" the commercial exchange and avoiding the commissions and the control of the States and the banks. There was also talk of "mining" and those people who, using powerful personal computers, "mined" Cryptocurrencies, that is, they used their machines as "servers" for the exchange of information and data, allowing the flow of transactions and obtaining dividends for this "service".

It is important to note that the acquisition of one or more mining equipment represents a high sum of money, which not all of us are able to manage. However, it is here when we come to the great opportunity represented by Steemit, especially for the Venezuelan public, who has high difficulties to obtain foreign currency and therefore, it is impossible to enter with the same advantages as the rest of the world population to the market. of digital commercial exchange.

After the presentation and after the respective photo session and exchange of greetings, we went to a renowned Italian restaurant, which was very close to the place where the presentation was made. When we arrived at the site, we were informed that the entire upper part of the place had been set aside for us and that we would have the opportunity to taste a delicious pizza, accompanied by a refreshing soda drink!

Already accommodated in the place and once the gathering started, we were able to share at our leisure with several friends that we have harvested through our passage through the platform. This is how we meet again, for example, with @erikatassoni and her husband @blancokarl with whom we have maintained a great friendship for many years and for whom we had the honor of presenting you with this wonderful medium called Steemit. There were also our friends @mayvil and @hegaby with whom we shared on several occasions topics of common interest. Other great colleagues like @ yaniria1 and @thegregory were also present with whom we exchanged a lot of information about the exciting world of Cryptocurrencies. Of course we do not miss the opportunity to talk with @ skinzero68 a great video game collector and a wide knowledge of the subject. On this occasion, we were able to strengthen ties with other great friends that Steemit has given us such as @amanardis, @yetxuni, @caracasfrases, and many others that at this moment escape from my memory (I apologize for those I did not mention).

In summary, it was a memorable afternoon! full of knowledge, learning, encounters and reunions with colleagues of this exciting network. We really do not have words to thank its organizers and we hope that initiatives like this one will be repeated and multiplied in every corner of our country. Steemit has been the medium, the friends of @cervantes our accomplices and we the Stemians are that "Sap" that travels through this wonderful network of dreams and personal fulfillment that we know as Steemit.
