This post brings up an interesting point. Since you are looking for Francophones on Steemit, that implies that there are not many Francophones here ... yet.
But this platform is sure to undergo tremendous growth over the next year or 2 ... or 5! So, you could be in the forefront of the movement. You could start some topics that will attract Francophones or Quebecois or whatever.
Yes, I know I'm being vague, but it's near midnight here in Thailand. But seriously, we have a great platform with sh*tloads of potential, and we are among the first adopters.
That means that if we persist and make a concerted effort (nothing tooooo strenuous, of course), we can probably do quite well in terms of "rewards."
All the best for you. Your compatriot supports you, even through 2-3 rum-tinted glasses.

The nickname doesn't bother me at all. It gives the impression of proximity and it's cool. In the meantime, I've found a few francophones and we're working on making our FR tag known.
But it is true that in the coming years, Steemit will explode and there will be more Francophones.
It's also good to communicate in English. I'm getting better.
