Why everyone needs a dash cam

If you have seen a few episodes of Judge Judy, you would know that evidence is the most important thing in a court of law. How many times has she asked for photos or video evidence?

Now, imagine you lightly bumped into another car. It was a very light bump and you exchanged details with the other driver. Months later, you received a bill for thousands of dollars. You thought, no way, how can this light bump cause that much damage?

Unfortunately, you don't have any evidence to say that you didn't cause this much damage, so you paid every single cent they asked for.

Now, if you had a dash cam and all of this was recorded on video, you could easily take this to an expert, who could possibly assess how much damage was done to the car at this particular accident.

So now that we've established you need a dash cam, what sort of dash cam do you need? I bought a dash cam for a few hundred dollars that sticks onto the windscreen with a suction cup. After a few months, it kept falling off. It even fell off when I was driving.

So I bought a rearview mirror dash cam. It clamps onto the rearview mirror so you don't have to worry about it falling off. I've attached my video review, but you can decide on which dash cam suits you the best.
