Dreams & Aspirations of a life on the road
From a young age it was driven into me that the aim in life was to to get a good job, buy a house, find love and have children.. I am very fortunate in the fact that I have found the third one on that list. But as for the others? They just don't appeal....Don't get me wrong we all need to work but a 9 - 5 is not for everyone..As for kids? not for us as we value our freedom to much.
We make a very modest living in the antique trade, less than minimum wage for the most part but we are happy..
So what about accommodation? We all have to live somewhere right? but does it really have to be a house?
Whilst a house for many is the absolutely right thing to do - we have come to the conclusion that we don't want a house,we don't want to be tied into a mortgage for the rest of our life's, we don't want to be fighting over parking, we don't want to packed in like sardines amongst a row of houses that all look the same, we don't want to be stuck in the same place in negative equity...
Since we don't have kids or a set place of work why not a motorhome/RV??
we want to have the freedom, we want to wake up in stunning locations, we want to be able to move as we please, we want to follow the weather, we want to follow our dreams..
So we have come to the conclusion we are saving up for a motorhome/RV, We have almost finished repaying £3000 in credit card bills and then the saving can really begin. We figure it will take us three years very hard graft and saving but it can be done. And so it begins.
One day in about three years time I hope to be giving you all the tour of our new home - on wheels!
