Being Judgemental

Being judgemental means to judge people on trivial and often unfair matters. ... Judgmental is a negative word to describe someone who often rushes to judgment without reason. The adjective #judgmental describes someone who forms lots of opinions usually harsh or critical ones about lots of people.
Judgmental has the word #judge at its root, which itself is from the Latin word judicem, which also means #"to judge." Judging as defined in the dictionary is the ability to judge, make a decision, or form an opinion objectively, authoritatively, and wisely, especially in matters affecting action.
From the above definition, I believe we have a fair understanding of what judge and being judgmental means. We often make decisions or come to certain conclusions depending on how we feel and think at the moment when a particular judgement is made that is mainly based on our emotions. Others do it for fun and also because they feel they are self righteous. Even though some people get their judgments right, more than 50% of our judgement mostly against others are wrong. ##Have we thought about what our hasty decisions, conclusions, and way of judgement can cause people? Have you and I seriously thought of the effect it has on victims of our act and way of judging? You may never know why someone had to do what he or she did..... You may never know how an individual got to the stage where you had the chance to conclude on that fellows situation.
#Being judgmental can cost a life . It can cause talents and skills from being unveiled because once you do that you end up discouraging than encouraging...
I remember one day a got home very tired but met no one at home and the doors where locked with keys no where to be found... "What is all this unfair treatment going on about?" I exclaimed... Note, at that moment I was tired and all that I thought of as I was journeying home was to take my bath and relax. I called my mom several times but she wouldnt pick up. I got very impatient and angry at my mom thinking she would intentionally do that to me only to realise she had placed the keys somewhere around. At once I felt guilty cause I had drawn some conclusions already about the whole situation. I regretted doing that which is a positive sign.
I urge us all to be each others keeper and not breakers. We should try to help uplift the broken rather than analyse the situation at hand in a way that it would cause more harm and make people feel unloved.
