I personally would like to explore the temples, the alleys and the street food. But for you, well, you can teach EFL students over there :) while also enjoying things I mentioned. Though, I've never been to Japan, it is one of a special place for me.
I wouldnt mind Japan at all. The only thing that concerns me is the cost of living. I feel like im getting ripped off if i can live in a similar sized apartment for a third of the cost in another country
