UFC Fight Night
After a good day’s work of renovations at The Foundry, it is time for a UFC night with the guys.
My brother has been practicing Brazilian Jui-Jitsu for several years now and is the reason I became interested in the UFC.
For those who don’t know know, UFC stands for Ultimate Fighting Championship - it is mixed martial arts.
There is an incredible amount of skill and work that goes into the craft of mixed martial arts.
My brother actually had his first fight a month ago, and he’s been training for 5-6 years.
Every fighter has his niche, but you must be able to defend against the other disciplines. That is what makes UFC so fascinating to watch - you never know what is going to happen.
I will say, it is intriguing to see the similarities between our culture and the Romans.
We are not killing individuals in an arena for sport, but we are entertained by men and women fighting one another in a stadium.
I pray we don’t degrade morally to the point that we have modern day gladiators, but we certainly need to turn some things around.
In the meantime, I’ll enjoy the testosterone rush of the UFC and keep my eyes peeled on the culture developing around me.

Used to love to get together with others and watch UFC fights! Even went to a weigh in in Dallas with our newborn dressed in a UFC (made by me) onesie. :) Lol! Haven't seen a fight in years though. Good fun.

I understand what you are saying. Sometimes when I hear of the bloodsports that attract so many I wonder if we are becoming more like barbarians and less human. Great point you make! 🐓🐓
It is something to keep our eye on and speak truthfully about.
UFC seems to be way better than watching over Wrestling in the name of entertainment ;)

I prefer my fights in hockey games or not at all. But I've never yet tuned into a fight and seen a hockey game break out...yeah, something wrong there. Tell your brother to save his teeth :)
