Plant Yourself Like a Tree

I watched Civil War (again) the other night, and decided it was time to write this quote down as a reminder.

I don’t know about you, but after I read that there is a big sigh that emanates from my body. The reality of the cost hits me between the eyes, and inspiration to move forward wells up again.

There are some folks that would label me as a quiet person. That can be true, at times, but typically I don’t say something unless truth is being misconstrued.

When people are not safe, something needs to be said. When injustice is being perpetrated, something needs to be said. When hope is nearly gone, something needs to be said.

You and I may be fighting very different battles. We may be saying something or nothing at all.

What I pray you are doing is standing for what is right even when others say it is wrong.

You may be quieter than a church mouse 99% of the time. It is the 1% when you are needed, that you must speak the truth in love.

If you don’t, evil advances.

*If you don’t, someone will be hurt.*

All it takes is for a few good men and women to do nothing. Quite frankly, we are running out of those precious few.
