Our Trip to Noah's Ark Part 2

IT'S THIS BIG

In case you were wondering how big Noah's Ark is, the picture above could help you.

The amount of work involved in making this ark is staggering. I never heard an exact figure of how many people were involved, but the 20-30 man lifts alone gave us an idea.

The staircase you see in the picture above is through the center of the ark. It winds back and forth from the base all the way to the 4th floor. The roof/lookout was not yet completed when we were there. It will be open to the public soon.

One of the intriguing scenes for us was the display of the living quarters. I don't know for certain, but somehow the image of hammocks, or simple straw beds was how I imagined Noah and his family living. That is rather silly considering they built a massive ark. The bedrooms depicted here are spacious and accommodating for the family.

While we were visiting, Ken Ham was giving an interview from the ark for local news stations. Ken Ham is the founder and president for Answers in Genesis. He and Bill Nye the Science Guy have been debating the qualities of Creationism and Evolution recently. I've included a link for one of their discussions below.

Thank you so much for checking out this post and upvoting it. Feel free to leave comments below for any specific pictures you would like to see for the 3rd and final part of this series.

I haven't been to the Ark yet, but we did get to go to the Creation Museum a couple years ago. Great stuff!

The Creation Museum is a great visit! The Ark is a 2 day visit imo. I know some folks are taking a week and seeing the museum and Ark together.
