Two Angels

One night two angels were staying at the home if a wealthy family. This family had almost everything they wanted- spare bedrooms, extra cars, and fine food. When the angels came to stay, the family did not give them a bedroom but put them in the basement. They did not want these angels to mess up any of their fine things.

In the middle of the night the older angel woke up the younger angel with his loud tools. He was repairing a hole in the wall of the basement. This perplexed the younger angel, but she was able to drift back to sleep.

The next night they went to the home of a poor couple. Their prize possession was a cow. This cow provided their meager income.
This sweet couple gave the two angels the only comfortable spot in the house to sleep, they had bed, while the couple took the floor.
The next morning they all awoke to find that the cow had died in the middle of the night. This made the younger angel very upset. In a private moment she asked the older angel, "Why did you repair the hole in the wall of the rich folks and allow the cow to die?"

The older angel replied, "Behind that hole was a great deal of gold, and I did not want the rich couple to discover it. And in the middle of the night the angel of death came to take the life of the wife and I pleaded to take the cow."

Remember, God's way and timing will look far different than you imagine. He will do what is best for us, even if we struggle to understand.
