What's It Like Living With a Woman? (The Best Offer 2013 Movie Quote Review)

in #life7 years ago

A simple question from Virgil Oldman "What's it like living with a woman?" from the movie "The Best Offer (2013)".

It's a very cliche question, but if you think of it outside the box, the answer to that question is far more complicated.

Virgil Oldman, a powerful art lover who lives alone in his final stage of his life will meet the love of his life that will change him forever.

While Virgil falls in love with the mysterious Claire who suffers from a strange illness, he asks his friend for a simple and honest answer.

Virgil will get the best possible answer to his question, his friend responds with the following quote: Living with a woman is "like taking part in an auction sale. You never know if yours will be the best offer.".

If you go deep enough in this powerful quote you will understand that it's all true, while we chase our dreams we step on a lot of people not know if our action can harm them and feel them miserable.

How can you know that your current job, bank account statement, house, character, sincere love will satisfy a woman to stay with you?

As we think of that we get a very dark though, "they can always find a better one."

And what's the point of investing all of our love, time and money on something that we know it may start to seek for the better one from ourselves?

We think we deserve more, that's the problem we live in, we push ourselves over the top, building an ego that will never get satisfied, will never stop seeking for a better partner, job, title or everything else.

Usually, the best mindset changers come after clever answers to simple questions. The individual always thinks they deserve more than the ones that we surround. I don't blame this, as its the way we are 'designed' to work and strive, leading to evolution.

Yeah, we evolved an ego to pursue our dreams for us, it's a part of evolution but it's keeping us backward.
