A Few Things Seen on a Walk - Love Lock Bridge?

Disclaimer: I decided to kidnap a dog and take him with me on the journey this week. He was quite adamant that we keep up a certain pace and I didn't get as many images as I would have liked, nor was said dog willing to have his photo taken. This is the best I got of him.

First stop was this quaint little bridge that is shrouded with trees. On a really hot day it's nice to cool down there under the ample shade.

Next up is the locks or what used to be locks here until they filled a lot of it up. This is the bridge that goes over the remaining water.

Upon walking along the bridge I noticed the tiniest lock fastened to one of the metal rungs.

This of course reminded me of those 'love lock' bridges in Amsterdam, London and of course more famously, in Paris. Lovers come to a bridge with a padlock, write a message of love on their locks and then lock it on the bridge. Then profess their love locked together by tossing the keys in the water below.

Could this be the start of our very own love lock bridge in my humble little town? If I'm not mistaken I believe the locks had to be removed on the Pont Des Art (the bridge in paris) because the weight of all the locks was unsafe.

Nope. He still won't pose for me. Until next time lovelies.
