🇱🇹 Lithuania Celebrates 100 Years Of Independence

Since I am was born and raised in Lithuania, this celebration is close to my heart - Lithuania celebrates 100 years of independence! 🇱🇹💪

Lithuanian officials declared independence on Feb 16th 1918, when the country was still under German occupation to later be recognised internationally later.

The first known record of the name Lithuania goes back as far as year 1009.

I came across this photo by Karolis Janulis, that very well represents Lithuanian colours of the flag:

I wish everyone with lithuanian roots a happy celebration on this very special occasion!
