RE: Better Every Day

I keep telling ppl i need a gym membership but the ones i can afford are crap! I need stuff like what you are saying! I reward myself with tv.. it doesnt have the same effect after but i enjoy during the reward lol

You know something funny? I originally started writing on Steemit to pay for my gym membership. It's a big expense, but it is my main source of mental health care outside of blogging. Hoosier Athletic Club has been a lifesaver for me because they take their coaching very seriously. They teach us how to prevent injuries. The only time I've ever been injured in the gym in four years was on a day I did not listen when my coach said stop. For me, that's a miracle. I am clumsy and hurt myself while sleeping. Now I have fewer injuries all around. A good gym is a game-changer, just like a good therapist. It's a shame insurance doesn't pay for it. :/

It may sound cliche and gyms can be epic but if you train until you're in pain by starting running, and combine press up squats and stretches you can easily get fit at home. There are loads of short home work outs online too. Put on some music that motivates you and just go for it.

Hey, so random side note,, have you ever heard of this thing called "Man-splaining" ? its where a man sees two women discussing something and makes the assumption that they know what one of the women hasn't tried and how to do it when in reality shes tried it and done it ! Thanks so much for your helpful insight that all I need is motivating music!!

In truth I never noticed that you two were both women, apart from good manners your gender shouldn't and hasn't effected how I spoke to you. This is a place for free discussion and I joined in a conversation highlighting several simple home exercises as well as music (although motivational music was not my only or main suggestion).

In the spirit of discussion, you could have responded saying you'd already tried my suggestions and continued the conversation on training if you wanted or ignored me. Highlighting 'man-splaining' off of a three line comment which was not rude, sexist or derogatory in any way makes little sense to me as making a suggestion of what one or both of you may not have tried is just called conversation which had nothing to do with gender.

I'm sorry to sound so short in this response and I myself agree with equality , I just do not agree when perceived inequality is flagged where it has no basis.

Oh you didnt notice we were women because our avatars are of women? Mkay. Sure. I didnt flag you. You dont seem to understand mansplaining. Maybe when i have time i can help you. Equality doesnt happen without equity and a willingness for the probileged to listen thru anger and frustration.. but its up to u

I didn't look at the avatars which was bad form on my part but my comment would have been the same if it was two men speaking or any other gender combination.

I guess we have different views on what is and isn't acceptable but that's what makes this world interesting, I'd get bored if we all had to think the same and I love the fact that people are all different.

Anyways its cool to have met you and I hope you have a great week. We're expecting snow in England which is kind of rare these days, so should be a fun one.

Ps good manners?!?! Lol none of that shit here! Lmao thats a good one
