What is the most valuable asset you have?
What we say today is the most valuable asset we have, but in fact, before people really have “discernment” to distinguish what is your valuable asset, you must have experienced some “pits”. I know that there are three big pits in the world, people in the pit are crowded, basically 99.99% of them are in it. Unfortunately, people don’t know that they are in the pits because they look around: “Do not everyone all do?”
THE FIRST BIG PIT WAS CALLED “INEXPLICABLE JOIN IN THE HOT”
Join in the hot, you must have seen. Many people walking the street, saw a large group of people around, they will involuntarily also walked past, want to know what happened. But in fact is that it must be something that has nothing to do with their own! Why go to watch the fun?
In particular, it’s usually not a good thing to be onlookers on the street. Is not that obvious? What can happen on the street so that everyone around? Only what happened bad things! But they forgot that in any big trend, there must be another group of people already to be ready. Although it may not necessarily be deliberately prepared. If the content business is really a trend, then before that group of people who have written the word ten years is obviously “Although not intentionally but necessarily early already has best preparation”. At this time has just begun to prepare people, how can become them opponent?
The question is, why in a hurry? Because “the general trend is too sudden”? No. The truth is, that trend, that opportunity, doesn’t belong to the edgy person; that trend, that chance is obviously for who have intentionally or unknowingly already best person prepared. THE THIRD BIG PIT WAS CALLED “WORRY SOMEONE ELSE’S THINGS”

As long as a little idea, as long as a little ability of people, in this era, it should start a business, though not necessarily the eyes of all kinds of venture capitalists can’t change the world things is not called entrepreneurship. But at the very least, the independent entrepreneurship may be more promising, and it is sure to be sure.
And, from a social efficiency point of view, every independent entrepreneurship who is essentially “trying to remove the intermediate links and try to contribute directly to the society” even if it is possible to fail, what’s wrong with it? So back to that question: What is the most important, but overlooked, precious asset that everyone has?
Attention.
Your attention, really very few, to be able to concentrate the output of attention, may be often only two or three hours on one day, the result? The results is you join in the hot, you go to follow the crowd, you go to worry someone else’s things... Money is not the most important thing, because it can be regenerated. Time is not the most important thing, because it does not belong to you in essence, you can only try to make friends with it and make it for you. Your attention is the most important and valuable resource you have. From this point of view, life is actually fair, because your attention is really your own, unless you give up yourself. Therefore, you must put your most precious attention on yourself.
This may be the most valuable advice in life: because ultimately, all your worth is the output of your attention. And, more critically, one’s attention may well be the only productive resource that can be described as “innate”, think about it, what else is there?
Where do you put it on your own? The answer is clear and unique:
Put it on “growth”.
There is a Silicon Valley “cliche” is actually very meaningful: “the business is growing up. Not to grow is not to start a business.”

Sure, the reason why can’t remember, because those things really have nothing to do with you, not to mention what them have to do with your growth. Isn’t it?
In the world, there is a simple yet long-term business model: selling huge amounts of cheap and even free attention at a high price.
In a sense, advertising, in fact is such a business model, isn’t it?
You can look at some of the biggest marketers in Weibo (or facebook, twitter), who are best at “eye catching” - another saying “harvest cheap or even free attention”; you can see how may people are even “contributing their attention”, and then you can see why this business model can last forever.
Without any emotional color, without any moral judgment, only see the nature of the phenomenon, we may draw a particularly cold conclusion:
If you don’t care your attention, then your attention will be mercilessly harvested and sold (in fact your attention is actually valuable another you.)
In this way, the vast majority of people are really the kind of warrior who "sacrificed myself, happy give for other".
All in all, the reason is very clear:
Those who don’t value their attention are ultimately doomed to poverty, because they are harvested for life by another and can never have really valuable outputs throughout life. How can they become rich eventually?
That’s easy.
