The Oroboros, An Alternate Interpretation, And More.

in #life8 years ago

The Oroboros, is known as "the World Snake",
and is known for swallowing his own tail.
I have come to think this is a backwards interpretation.
The interpretation that appears to be more accurate,
is that the creature is speaking itself into existence.
This is more in line with the creation myths such as,
Genesis, "And God said..." then he spoke all of creation into being.
and in John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

Taking the simple representation of the flat circle one step farther,
we find other representations that are more expansive in their elucidation.
Does this remind anyone of anything?

This last is the representation of a chemical pressure wave.
As with every chemical reaction,
there is an integral electrical and electromagnetic manifestation,
as, that is what a chemical reaction is.
It is a change in electrical and magnetic balance,
an altering of the fundamental geometry of the substances involved.

This post is a work in progress.
I am continuing to put the pieces together.
If anyone has any thoughts to add,
please leave them in the comments below.

Here is a book that has been instrumental in my development of these connections.

The importance of the toroidal shape in our universe. Certainly we have lost the message of the ancient symbols. Nice work. Upvoted and followed.

thank you for your interest, i think that, even though much has been lost, we may gain some of it back, and even invent more by studying the patterns of symbols that the human mind seems to perpetually create, a sort of archetypal classification of symbology.

I found your post very interesting, Lifeworship :)

thank you. this is a part of something i've been working out for a while.
more to come, hopefully.

Symbols can represent anything we can analogously reference. Time, cycles, death and rebirth, life, chaos and order, the known and the unknown, etc. It's a great symbol that can be used to analogously describe certain real, or imagined attempts at, understanding of reality.

i'm not trying to read too much into something that isn't there. only trying to use the pattern recognition aspect of myself to deepen my understanding of the actual connections among geometry, chemistry, magnetics, et cetera. if the brain's natural predilection for creating, recognizing, and/or applying symbols, as a method of understanding, can be exploited by me, so much the better. not looking for spooky connections that aren't there. thanks for the comment, and the interest.

I love the oroboros symbol. Thanks for this post, @lifeworship!

thanks for the interest, and the encouragement.
