RE: Why are we so afraid?
Agreed! It's all well in the world of humans - people are different and that's what makes us awesome. I've always learned best by jumping the hell in and learning to swim, but, I totally agree that analysing the risk is a good thing too!
But definitely not taking no risks whatsoever like my friend. Who hasn't left home or done anything overtly risky since he left school 20 years ago.
There will be points in life when you are challenged to the core, and you're forced to either sink or swim. It's those moments that truly make us into the people we are today :)
True. Yet, you can treat a dangerous situation differently. You can either jump into it with both feet or try to minimize the possible risks by trying to prepare for them.
In my life, for example, I've got multiple challenges without asking for them. Sometimes, you just have to pick between the bad and the ugly, like we do right now between Hillary and Donald.
Anyhow, I am glad you’ve come up from your struggles “holding the shield” rather than “laying on the shield.” Good Luck!
Haha. Thank you! And yes, there have been situations where there's bad and ugly - like Hillary and Donald, it's like choosing between Satan himself or Hitler - you know. I've had plenty of those!
But I think there are also times when risks need to be taken to get ahead in life. Because opportunity doesn't fall on bottom of the pile nobody's like you and I (not saying you're a nobody btw!)
