We need to fail
Fail! Fail! and fail again, as many times as necessary, until you lose the fear of failure. When you lose the fear of failure you gain freedom, freedom makes you believe in yourself. Your way of thinking and acting changes totally, now you see the opportunities and you throw yourself with everything to them, because you are no longer afraid of failure, you know that failure does not subtract anything to your life, but it adds experience, which you can use to achieve success in the coming opportunities that this life will be presenting to you.
This reminds me of the Cosby Show episode when Heathcliff asks his son in saw if he plans on failing as many times as Milton Hershey did before finding his path. By the way Hershey filed for bankruptcy twice before establishing himself.
