If you ask me, the Amercian Dream is crushing right now, though it is dead for 50 years now. But it often takes a while to recognize that haven't seen the old boy for years that used to sit on the street corner.
I agree, the American Dream has been dead for 50 years ... but when I read the words of MLK Jr. this is a dream I refuse to admit has died. All the Betsy De Vosses and Jeff Sessions of the world can continue to do their evil work but I want to hold on to the belief that the arc of human progress leans towards the good and that slowly we do get better. That this Trump era will teach us how to fight against this sort of entropy and that maybe the pendulum will swing again to a more progressive era. If we survive. :)
