I am waiting for the part 2 Durko and I hope there will be no fishing. Although you are a great storyteller and your story is really fascinating, my vegan heart is not feeling good reading about fishing. I hope you can understand that XOXO
My amazing friend, I think I have told you this before? You should never apologize for speaking your mind. That is one of the things I love about you. You are an honest, amazing, and straightforward person. :)
Would you believe me when I was writing this post I was thinking "Lena is not going to like this post"? I truly was concerned about it. Now you do have to take this in consideration. This was 20 years ago and since then thanks to you in big part I have become vegetarian-vegan(95%).
But, to tell this story I had to tell it like it was. And, it really was not about fishing, but rather about my experiences with my dad. Unfortuantely, fishing was part of it, and had to include it. Or the story would not be the same without it.
The second part has no fishing in it whatsoever. And, it will be a great story to read. :)

I am really happy you understand, my amazing friend. I really did think about how my vegan friends will feel about it, but the story would not be the same without it. Heck who would think this kid in the story would be vegan today? lol But, I am. :)
