What's the best way to see Central Park?

What’s one of the most iconic spots in New York? Central Park of course! It’s my favorite spot in the city and I’ve experienced it so many ways.

My first time coming to central park since I moved to New York I really wanted to bike around it. Last time I came here it was way too cold to do that so I really wanted to take advantage of the warm weather.

What a better way to started off the day than with a lovely bike ride around central park. So let me say… central park is NOT FLAT. That bike ride is a work out! I was so exhausted peddling up those hills, then pretty much scared for my life and everyone around me speeding down them. Maybe I just don’t know how to use gears correctly but my gosh those moments sitting by the lake taking a break were heaven.

I came back to central park a week later with a new plan! I tried to rollerblade it while my girlfriend longboarded from the other end of town to meet me up. I still remember when I was renting the rollerblades I was asked if I needed elbow and knee pads. “No its ok” I said... 10 mins later I am sitting on the side of the road googling “ How to brake on rollerblades down hills” FAIL. When we finally met up at the fountain in the center of the park. We walked up to each other with the look of defeat. I took off my rollerblades put it in a bag she got off her long board and we walked to get get happy hour and chow down on a dozen $1 oysters each to cheer ourselves up.

I think next time I come back I'll just stroll around the park on foot.
